Helping students succeed for civic
and economic prosperity.
The Succeed A-Team is comprised of representatives from local government, community colleges, school districts and STEAM focused industry. This team has had a dedicated membership committed to partnering with industry and employers. The team has been meeting monthly since April 2019 to current day (Oct. 2019).
The team formed a set of strategic directions after a consensus workshop asking the question “What do we want to see for youth in the Bay Area in 3-5 years?”
To further inform the chosen strategy for the next year representatives from local Bay Area industries in health and technology share their vision and help inform this teams direction.
The Succeed A-Team landed on the following strategic direction to focus on in their first tactical plan:
Connect mid to large regional employers with multiple career pathways to local, diverse applicants for jobs and internships by coordinating a pathway from high school to community college.
This tactical plan will consist of two phases:
1) Recruit interested regional employers.
2) Identify local high school and community college to partner for career readiness course.
